Victor O. Schinnerer & Co. introduced their Academic Security Risk Management program, designed to meet the needs of academic institutions of all sizes.
The program protects directors, officers, trustees, faculty and staff, students and campus visitors. Events such as acts of violence against insureds, threats to harm individuals or divulge information, damage to property, property disappearance of students and child abduction are covered. Expenses including students' and employees' medical charges, increased security, lost wages, temporary facilities, and communication and public relations are covered.
A prevention fund is available to apply toward risk management resources, including periodic travel seminars, simulation exercises for crisis team members, and country risk analysis for study abroad programs. The program is available on an admitted basis in all states and the District of Columbia, with the exception of Washington and South Dakota where it is offered on a nonadmitted basis.
