The New York Property Insurance Underwriting Association (NYPIUA) announced that Arthur I. Golden has retired as director of the Governing Board after more than 24 years of service.

Golden is the longest serving member of the board of NYPIUA. He was appointed to NYPIUA's Board in 1984 and served over the years on the Producer Liaison, Arson and Fire Safety, Claims and Finance committees.

Golden founded Golden and Golden Insurance in 1957. He was past president of the board of directors of the Professional Insurance Agents of New York and was recognized by PIA as Producer of the Year in 1989 and as Agent of the Year in 1994. He also served as director on the Council of Insurance Brokers of Greater New York, director of the New York Automobile Insurance Plan and was a member of the Producer Liaison Committee for Insurance Services Office.
