Sarah Perry, incoming president of the Public Risk Management Association and risk manager for the City of Columbia in Missouri, said her goal is to expand the association's message and resources to those who are not currently members.
Some smaller government entities, for example, may not have a risk manager, but might split risk management duties among several people.
She also would like to increase the involvement of members, in order to develop future association and industry leaders. To do this, she said PRIMA is bolstering its online education–as well as regional and site-specific training–to reduce travel requirements.
