Appleton, Wis.-based Integrity Mutual Insurance Company said it has named Darin L. Kath its president-designate effective June 2. He succeeds retiring President and Chief Executive Officer Richard J. Schinler.

Mr. Schinler, who will retire Dec. 31 after 25 years with the company, will remain in his current position until Mr. Kath is formally approved by the Integrity Board, then serve in an advisory capacity through the end of the year.

“We are pleased to welcome Darin to Integrity,” said Phil Urban, Integrity Insurance board chairman. “A longtime resident of Wisconsin, Darin will bring knowledge of both the insurance industry and the region to his role as president.”

Integrity said Mr. Kath has 20 years of insurance experience, most recently serving as president and chief executive officer of Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company in Neenah, Wis.

Mr. Schinler joined Integrity in 1983 as vice president of finance when Integrity had a direct written premium of $20.6 million and a surplus of $4.1 million. In 2007, the company reported direct written premiums in excess of $100 million and a surplus of $30 million.

Integrity Mutual Insurance Company was founded in 1933. The firm is a member of Columbus, Ohio-based Grange Mutual Casualty Group. Integrity offers property and liability, auto, workers' compensation and umbrella coverage to individuals and businesses in Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
