Zurich has launched Zurich's Spill Reporting Online System, which will assist North American customers with the cleanup of spills of hazardous materials, fuel or other regulated materials.

Free to Zurich Environmental customers, the online system will assist in dispatching cleanup contractors, reducing costs associated with environmental releases, expediting regulatory reporting and mitigating potential liability.

Zurich is collaborating with Spill Center, an environmental spill management specialist with more than 15 years of experience. Spill Center maintains a database of more than 3,000 contractors throughout North America to assist customers in identifying local resources for spills. Spill Center also assists in coordinating local, state and federal release reporting, monitors nearly 30,000 federal, state and local jurisdictions across the U.S., tracks changes in regulations, and maintains current environmental reporting regulations and contact information.

Users of the system receive electronic copies of paperwork generated by the spill incident, including an open release report, contractor retention documentation, regulatory paperwork, invoices and a closing report.
