Itasca, Ill.-based insurance broker Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. said it has acquired the transportation niche retail insurance agency Specialty Risk Inc. of Liberty, Mo. Financial terms of the transaction were not released.
Gallagher said Specialty Risk Inc. is a retail insurance broker providing risk management and commercial property-casualty insurance products and services to clients in North America.
The agency, founded in 1994, specializes in occupational accident insurance, corporate and fleet workers' compensation, physical damage, and non-trucking liability insurance for independent contractors, fleet and company drivers, and motor carriers in the transportation field.
