Claims News Service, March 21, 3:58 p.m. EST– International research and consulting firm, The Customer Respect Group, has recently released findings on they're first quarter 2008 Online Customer Respect Study of auto insurance industry web sites.
The study examined several auto insurer web sites using criteria set to measure corporate performance from the online customer's perspective. A Customer Respect Index is provided for each company, which according to the firm is a qualitative and quantitative in-depth analysis and independent measure of a customer's experience when they interact using the Internet.
Insurance industry web sites had an average CRI score of 5.5 on a ten-point scale, a slight upswing from the industry's 2007 score. This year's rating is shows that the insurance industry is performing on average and is on par with the advancements made in other industries.
The study shows the top companies were:
Progressive Casualty7.5
GEICO6.9
Liberty Mutual 6.5
Nationwide6.4
MetLife Auto & Home6.3
