Accenture has introduced a new web-based claim program designed to help property and casualty insurers modernize their core systems and streamline their customer service capabilities.

One new feature of the Accenture Claims Component, version 7.0, is the new dashboard analytic tool, which gives claim workers a real-time view of their workloads, tasks, and processing status. The new graphical user interface also will aid in reducing claim inefficiencies, which the company said should speed up claim resolution.

The program also includes newly automated claim functions to help facilitate routine tasks and support core claim transactions from first notice of loss through final payment. Other additions include an express claim-handling feature used for automated payment processing, more sophisticated automatic assignment of claims to handlers, and automatic loss and expense reserve creation.
