The Pennsylvania Insurance Fraud Prevention Authority has recently released its 2007 Top 13 insurance fraud case list, which reviews the year's most colorful fraud cases investigated by the IFPA.
The organization reports that their law enforcement units have been responsible for more than 3,773 arrests and more than 2,272 convictions, and brought 441 individuals to justice for insurance fraud in 2006 alone. The IFPA plans to release the 2007 statistics later this month.
The 2007 Top 13 list includes fraud cases involving a husband and wife team, a pizza shop owner, and a deputy sheriff.
