New Jersey Attorney General Anne Milgram and Criminal Justice Director Gregory A. Paw have reported that Ramsey Naylor and Carrie Martin of Trenton have been indicted for alleged insurance fraud.
According to Insurance Fraud Prosecutor Greta Gooden Brown, the two were indicted on charges of third degree insurance fraud and attempted theft by deception. An investigation revealed that Naylor submitted a fraudulent insurance claim to Rider Insurance Company for the theft of a Yamaha motorcycle between Sept. 21, 2003 and Jan. 23, 2004.
The office of the attorney general reported that the claim falsely reported that the motorcycle was stolen after an insurance policy had been purchased for it. It is alleged that the motorcycle, in fact, was stolen before it was covered by an insurance policy, and Martin supposedly provided information she knew was false in support of the claim.
