California Department of Insurance fraud investigators found two Roseville Bel Air Market store managers to be allegedly orchestrating a workers’ compensation fraud scheme.

According to the California Department of Insurance, Nichole Leddy and Amy Looper each pled no contest to one count of workers’ compensation insurance fraud in Placer County Superior Court. A joint investigation showed that an injured employee was allegedly given cash from the store to finance co-payments for private health insurance coverage. Another employee was supposedly instructed to inform her doctor that an on-duty work injury had occurred at home.
