The new president of the National Conference of Insurance Legislators, Rhode Island State Rep. Brian Kennedy, D-Hopkinton, announced the election of NCOIL officers for 2008.
|These include: New York State Sen. James Seward, R-Oneonta, as president-elect; Kentucky State Rep. Robert Damron, D-Nicholasville, as vice president; North Dakota State Rep. George Keiser, R-Bismarck, as secretary; and New Mexico State Sen. Carroll Leavell, R-Jal, as treasurer.
|In addition, Mr. Kennedy named 2008 co-chairs to standing committees for the organization of legislators, based in Troy, N.Y.
