California Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner has recently stated that 502 emergency insurance adjusters have been registered with the Department of Insurance in an effort to accelerate insurance claim processing for victims of the southern California wild fires.
According to the California Department of Insurance, shortly after the fires broke out, Commissioner Poizner recognized the needs for more assistance than California's insurance companies could provide and declared an insurance emergency.
Through the state of emergency, Poizner authorized out of state adjusters to come to California and assist victims in processing their claims so they can receive the payments they need as soon as possible.
