North Carolina's fraud investigators had a busy week. First, North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Jim Long today announced the arrest of Seung Yon Yu Johnson. She was charged with one count of obtaining property by false pretense.
Johnson allegedly filed a claim for a lost ring worth $8,800, while the ring was supposedly in her possession all along.
Next, Long announced the arrests of three women, Kathleen Ann Schuckers, Kimberly Lou Nyman, and Rhonda Pauline Rhodes on charges alleging their involvement in a drunk driving accident and filed a false auto insurance claim of nearly $3,600.
