Fullbright & Jaworski have recently released their annual U.S. Litigation Trends survey. According to the firm, 93% of insurance companies faced at least one new lawsuit in the past year with one third of them facing over 20 new actions and 54 percent of American companies surveyed reported facing at least one $20 million suit.
Survey results reported that insurance company in-house law departments said that insurance matters (43%) were their number 1 concern, followed by contracts (27%), and class actions and labor/employment matters (20% each).
The Fulbright & Jaworski Litigation Trends survey takes a macro approach to analyzing the business dispute landscape and reports on findings from a variety of industries and topics. The survey includes the most common types of lawsuits that businesses face and the new legal burdens that are impacting their budgets.
