CDS Business Mapping, LLC said the report available through itsCDS' RiskMeter Online service can be used by insurers to enforcetheir distance to coast underwriting guidelines.

Connecticut Department of Insurance has approved the coastlinereport, CDS said.

Jamie Munson, director of consulting Services, CDS BusinessMapping, said the department had issued a report on maintaining thecoastal insurance market, which states that insurers are to use aspecific methodology to enforce their coastal underwritingpractices. "By using the RiskMeter and our standardized coastline,carriers can be assured they are in compliance," she said.
