According to the United States Department of Justice, another Louisiana resident has recently pled guilty to fraud charges in a federal court related to hurricane disaster relief.

U.S. Attorney David R. Dugas announced that Wendy S. Pate of Ethel, Louisiana pled guilty to two counts of making fraudulent claims for disaster relief benefits. The inspector general’s office at the U.S. Postal Service and the Department of Homeland Security investigated the case.
