Wells Fargo Insurance Services said it has promoted Paul Baldwinto the position of chief operating officer of its American E&Soperations, a wholesale broker. This is a new position in the firm,a spokesperson said.

The Chicago-based broker, a subsidiary of San Francisco-basedfinancial services firm Wells Fargo & Company, said Mr. Baldwinwill take an active role in strategic business development withinAmerican E&S.

His primary focus will be to support and grow cross-sellopportunities within Wells Fargo Insurance Services, plan anddirect sales programs to develop new customers, and work with theexecutive management committee in setting short- and long-termstrategic goals and objectives, the company said.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo Insurance Services, Mr. Baldwin wasemployed as a vice president for Aon Risk Services of Arizona.
