Branchville, N.J.-based Selective Insurance Group Inc. said thatprincipal subsidiary Selective Insurance Company of America hasmade several management changes.

In a statement, Selective's chairman, president and chiefexecutive officer, Gregory E. Murphy, said the moves follow thepreviously announced retirement of Jim Ochiltree, senior executivevice president of Insurance Operations.

Selective made the following changes:

o Richard Connell, presently senior executive vice president,chief information officer, will assume the new role of chiefadministrative officer.

o John Marchioni, presently senior vice president, personallines and flood operations, will assume the role of chief fieldoperations officer.

o Chuck Musilli, currently senior vice president, chief fieldoperations and marketing officer, will head the newly createdSelective Risk Solutions operation. This includes the SelectiveRisk Managers large account operation, the human resourcesoutsourcing operation, Selective HR Solutions, and responsibilityfor developing an excess and surplus lines business. He will alsobe responsible for agency programs and flood operations.

o Ed Pulkstenis, senior vice president, chief commercial linesunderwriting officer, will see his role expanded to includemarketing and communications, the business services unit andaccounts, the commercial lines service center, and the strategicoperations group.

o Daniel Bravo, senior vice president, strategic operationsgroup, will assume added responsibility for market planning.

o Sharon Cooper, presently senior vice president, director ofcommunications, will assume the role of chief marketing andcommunications officer.
