Chicago-based insurance broker Aon Corporation said it hasappointed Hamish Roberts with the Jardine Lloyd Thompson group ofcompanies as its global practice leader for its power business. Thepower business deals with generation and distribution ofelectricity.
|He will be responsible for building Aon's strength andcapabilities in this industry sector for the United Kingdom andAmericas regions.
|Aon said Mr. Roberts will join the company's London office oncehe has fulfilled his contractual obligations to JLT.
|Mr. Roberts has over 20 years experience in the insuranceindustry and was responsible for the successful growth of JLT'sglobal power business over the last three years, Aon said. Prior tojoining JLT, he was managing director at Marsh UK, where he ledtheir power practice group.
