Items ranging from the post-Katrina insurance political climate to the potential for federal regulation will be on the agenda when the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies meets in Gaylord, Texas, next month.
"Issues involving government affairs, advocacy, and challenges from state and federal lawmakers are confronting the property-casualty insurance industry in myriad ways," said Chuck Chamness, NAMIC's president and CEO. "This year's convention will give our members a chance to gain insight into how best to address these concerns."
Among the speakers at the meeting will be former Florida Republican Gov. Jeb Bush, who will be speaking on leadership and advocacy issues.
