Pitney Bowes MapInfo has recently integrated its location intelligence technology into i-aXs, an online risk management platform developed by risk and reinsurance specialist Guy Carpenter & Company, LLC.
The addition to i-aXs will allow insurance companies to analyze their portfolio exposures and losses to help them make more informed reinsurance purchasing decisions.
According to Pitney Bowes MapInfo, i-aXs enables reinsurance providers to gain access to and utilize exposure information about natural hazard risks, such as hurricanes, tornados, hail storms, or man-made risks, such as terrorism from satellite data, GPS, and catastrophe models. These tools aim to help carriers better evaluate their risk exposures and select the appropriate reinsurance coverage.
