The National Equipment Register is now offering two new services to increase theft deterrence. The first service records stolen product identification number plates, letting NER detect the identity of the machine when a PIN plate is stolen and assigned to another machine.

NER has also launched IronCheck, a program that allows buyers to perform due diligence through NER before purchasing used equipment. The combination of these two services aims to increased theft recoveries and make it more risky for thieves to sell stolen farm and construction equipment.
