New Hampshire Attorney General Kelly A. Ayotte and Insurance Commissioner Roger A. Sevigny recently announced the indictment of a woman for insurance fraud.

The indictment of Inge Lasut of Manchester, New Hampshire alleges that she applied for an auto insurance policy with Progressive in early 2005. Lasut supposedly filed a claim three days later, even though damage had happened before she applied for the insurance policy.

Lasut's indictment stated that she intended to defraud Progressive by providing false information.
