West Virginia Insurance Fraud Commissioner Jane L. Cline recently announced the arrests of two Huntington men charged with insurance fraud, third degree arson, conspiracy, and burning insured property.

According to the West Virginia Office of the Insurance Commissioner, the men of Cabell County were Richard Sturgill and Jeffery Maynard. The two allegedly burned a vehicle owned by Sturgill in March of this year and filed a bogus insurance claim for the damages.

If convicted, both men face up to 10 years in prison and fines of up to $10,000 for each felony count.
