California Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner recently presented the results of an undercover operation that led to the arrest of five contractors during the time of the Angora Fire in South Lake Tahoe.

Investigators from the El Dorado County District Attorney's Office and the California Contractors State License Board teamed with the California Department of Insurance's Enforcement Branch to bring down unlicensed public adjusters and contractors involved in attempts to scam victims of the wild fires.

None of the suspects arrested had city/county business licenses or a contractor's license. Those arrested were:
