The Association of Average Adjusters of the United States said it has created a new class of membership, Marine Hull Claims Professional.

The designation provides a means for people involved in the adjustment of marine claims to attain a newly created professional qualification by successfully completing a series of modular exams while being mentored by a full member of the association, the group said.

The new designation recognizes that the industry needs professionals to meet the demands of clients, brokers and increasingly the regulatory environment, said the association.
