There was a time in the industry when independent agents were relatively content to wait for new technology–like consumers anticipating a bigger, better Game Boy or other techno-toy. Today, however, every independent agent knows that efficiency is the key to profitability, and the key to that profitability is a real-time workflow.

Although we’ve made great progress, the only way we’re going to get where we want to go is to speak up, get involved, and make our wishes known to both our vendors and our carriers. Instead of just waiting, we have to drive the change–and we have to do it collectively.
