The T. Mark Fay Foundation is awarding up to four scholarships valued at $3,000 each to "incredible" college juniors and seniors in an effort to prepare and attract young talent to the claim industry.

According to the T. Mark Fay Foundation, like Disney/ Pixar's The Incredibles ' Mr. Incredible, who became an insurance claim adjuster, today's adjuster needs to possess near super-human qualities. The company says that a good adjuster is part detective, judge, prosecutor, defense attorney, juror, doctor, author, technician, negotiator, psychologist, and customer – service expert.

Each scholarship is named after an insurance claim executive. Recipients of that scholarship are selected by the executive who mentors them throughout their college years. When they graduate, the executive acts as a job coach and helps identify opportunities and contacts for the graduate. Scholarship winners will be announced Aug. 31. Deadline to submit an application is Aug. 1.
