IDP, a provider of claim and billing software for the property and casualty insurance industry has developed a claim-processing program. Claim-It allows insurers and TPAs to set up, reserve, monitor, track, and pay losses on claims for any property and casualty line, including homeowners, auto, commercial, and workers' compensation. Because the program can be customized, users can streamline operations by defining key entries, such as those for reason codes and cause of loss tables.

“Most claim processing systems tend to be oriented toward one or another particular line of business, often at the expense of processing power for the remaining lines,” said Gary Gilbert, IDP's president and CEO. “Claim-It is the result of a vision that encompasses all p and c lines.”

IDP worked with property and casualty claim professionals to design the system. One feature inspired by that collaboration is the litigation processing component, which can be used at any level of a claim. The component aids in the processing of arbitration and litigation appeals, even at the subrogation level.
