AvMed Health Plans received a rating of “Excellent,” the highestpossible quality rating given to a health plan, from the country'sleading health-care quality evaluator.
The National Committee for Quality Assurance upgraded AvMed therating based on recent surveys of quality indicators and memberevaluations. It distinguishes AvMed among accredited health plansbased on measurements of member satisfaction, clinical quality andcustomer service, and the score from AvMed's accreditation survey.Some 60 standards were reviewed.
