The Institute for Business & Home Safety has revised itsdisaster safety web site, adding new tools and making home andbusiness property protection information easy to find. The latestchanges allow efficient access to property protection tips onhurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires, floods, hailstorms, earthquakes,and freezing weather.

“These web-site enhancements allow us to more effectivelyprovide information to help better protect homes and businessesfrom natural disasters and everyday losses,” said Harvey Ryland,IBHS president and CEO. “At the same time, we continue to upgradeand customize tools and information for our members, who, throughtheir support of IBHS, are working to reduce property losses andpreserve jobs.”

The site also has information on home maintenance projects, suchas choosing impact-resistant roofing material, performing routinetasks to minimize water damage, and taking care of landscaping,such as nearby trees, to reduce the threat posed by high winds.
