Claims News Service, Oct. 13, 8:51 a.m. EDT -- The AmericanInstitute for CPCU and Insurance Institute of America announce anextension of certain 2005 exams. The Institutes understand that the2005 hurricane season has placed a significant burden on theinsurance industry and on many of our students who are eithervictims of or are responding to the devastating storms. To helpease the burden many students are feeling, the Institutes willallow those affected to reschedule some 2005 exams for the January15 - March 15, 2006 window.

Eligible Courses: Study Materials for 2006 ExamsIn September,the Institutes announced significant changes to these programs andthe release of newly published study materials for these courses.Normally, new exams covering information in new study materialswould start with the January 15 - March 15, 2006 testing window.Under the provisions of this extension, the Institutes willcontinue to offer 2005 exams for the courses listed below in theJanuary 15 - March 15, 2006 testing window. Students will not needto purchase new study materials, provided that they take theirexams in the first testing window of 2006.
