Claims News Service, Oct. 13, 8:51 a.m. EDT -- The American Institute for CPCU and Insurance Institute of America announce an extension of certain 2005 exams. The Institutes understand that the 2005 hurricane season has placed a significant burden on the insurance industry and on many of our students who are either victims of or are responding to the devastating storms. To help ease the burden many students are feeling, the Institutes will allow those affected to reschedule some 2005 exams for the January 15 - March 15, 2006 window.

Eligible Courses: Study Materials for 2006 ExamsIn September, the Institutes announced significant changes to these programs and the release of newly published study materials for these courses. Normally, new exams covering information in new study materials would start with the January 15 - March 15, 2006 testing window. Under the provisions of this extension, the Institutes will continue to offer 2005 exams for the courses listed below in the January 15 - March 15, 2006 testing window. Students will not need to purchase new study materials, provided that they take their exams in the first testing window of 2006.
