Lynx Services, a third-party administrator for automotive glassclaims, has designed a national registry of automotive glassservice providers. The web-based service will include companyprofiles for insurers and fleet companies seeking qualified glassservice.

“In today's marketplace, all customers expect a competitiveprice. What we're seeing among customers is growing interest in notonly competitive price, but the desire for more knowledge of theservice provider's qualifications and professional attributes,”said John Outcalt, president of Lynx Services. “In addition, we'reresponsive to glass service providers that would like to promotetheir quality service attributes in a price competitivemarketplace.”

The registry will allow glass service providers to specify theircompany's service areas (including mobile service areas) by ZIPcode, as well as their glass repair and replacement services, hoursof operation, emergency or after-hour contact information, andservice capacity. Service providers also will have the option oflisting professional credentials, such as industry certifications,windshield adhesive system training certifications, and statelicensing.
