This month, the National African-American Insurance Association will hold its National Conference and Empowerment Summit at the New York Hilton in New York City. The summit is dedicated to unifying African-American insurance professionals and increasing their numbers. In addition to representatives from a number of the nation's largest insurers, speakers will include the Honorable William Thompson, controller of New York City, and Harold Gray of Howard University.
