The American Institute for CPCU and the Insurance Institute ofAmerica have signed a partnership agreement with the Society ofRegistered Professional Adjusters to administer the examinationsthat lead to the Society's Registered Professional Adjusterdesignation.

The multiple-choice exams, which were developed by the society,now are available online and at employer on-site testing centers.Examinations will be given in five areas: automobile liability,property, workers' compensation, general liability, and ageneralist track. In addition, RPA candidates must pass theInstitutes' Ethics and Claims Professionalism exam.

The society also plans to develop a Master Professional Adjusterdesignation for various specialty types of business and to offer aCareer Achievement Report, a record of an individual adjuster'sachievements.
