Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services said it has improved its outlook on Willis Group Holdings Ltd. to positive from stable and affirmed its “triple-B-minus” counterparty credit and senior unsecured debt ratings.

The action, S&P said, reflects a belief that the insurance broker’s “competitive position would be significantly enhanced should the company maintain its strong, industry-leading margins while increasing market share in the next 12-to-24 months due to recent strategic decisions,” explained Donovan Fraser S&P’s credit analyst.
