Peoria, Ill,-based insurer RLI Corp. said it expects to report pre-tax losses, net of reinsurance, from Hurricane Wilma of approximately $11 million, or 27 cents per share.
RLI said the estimate is based on claim activity to date and projections by the company's catastrophe management systems.
In October the property-casualty writer reported third quarter net earnings of $25.3 million on $149.2 million in revenue for the third quarter of this year, compared to $8.3 million earnings on $146.6 million revenue in the same period last year.
