The Captive Insurance Council of the District of Columbia Inc.(CIC-DC) said industry professionals will speak on the ins and outsand dos and don'ts of the captive marketplace at a regionaleducation session Nov. 30 in Chicago.
CIC-DC said the session features presentations by captiveinsurance experts on the advantages of a captive in the currentinsurance market, how to form a captive, a case study of asuccessful captive operation, and the pros and cons of variouscaptive insurance types including single parent-owned captives andgroup captives.
The meeting, the eighth of its kind, will focus on "what thecutting-edge new captive insurance law in the District of Columbiameans to firms and groups in the Midwest area seeking alternativesolutions to their risk exposures," said George Pantos, CIC-DCpresident.
