Former White Mountains Insurance Group chief financial officer and managing director James J. Ritchie has been elected board chairman at the Bermuda-based specialty insurer Quanta Capital Holdings Ltd.
In addition to his stint at White Mountains, Mr. Ritchie has held various positions with CIGNA Corporation and served in the insurance audit group at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Mr. Ritchie's election was one of three moves made by the board of directors at the recommendation of the company's governance and nominating committee. The board also appointed Robert Lippincott III to the audit committee. Mr. Lippincott is the president of Lippincott Consulting Holding LLC, and has been a director of Quanta since March of 2005.
