The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies, Indianapolis, Ind., has added 10 new firms to its list of 1,400 member companies.

"These new members add even more depth to the NAMIC membership," said Bart Anderson, senior vice president of member services and communications.

The New NAMIC members are:

o Providence International Insurance

o MutualAid eXchange

o Farmers Mutual Fire Insurance Company of Jefferson County

o Tennessee Valley Mutual Insurance Company

o South Dakota Association of Mutual Insurance Companies

o Minnesota Association of Farm Mutual Insurance Companies

o Illinois Association of Mutual Insurance Companies

o Kentucky Mutual And Cooperative Fire Insurance Association

o Missouri Association Of Mutual Insurance Companies

o North Dakota Association Of Farm Mutual Insurance Companies

NAMIC, a national trade association, said its membership underwrites 43 percent ($196 billion) of the property-casualty insurance premium in the United States and accounts for 44 percent of the homeowners market, 38 percent of the automobile market, 39 percent of the workers' compensation market, and 31 percent of the commercial property and liability market.
