Hilb Rogal & Hobbs Company said the brokerage has namedMichael Dinkins executive vice president and chief financialofficer. He replaces Carolyn Jones, who recently announced herintention to retire.

He is expected to assume his position in early October, HRHsaid.

The Richmond, Va.-based firm said Mr. Dinkins joins HRH fromGuidant Corporation, a maker of medical devices, where he was vicepresident global control and reengineering. Before that, he servedas CFO for NCR's Worldwide Customer Services Operation in Dayton,Ohio.

He began his career at General Electric Company, Inc. in theFinancial Management Program. During his 17 years there, he servedin financial management positions of increasing responsibility,including serving as an instructor for GE's Financial ManagementProgram.

He is a graduate of Michigan State University.
