David Spiller was named president of Guy Carpenter &Company, Inc., a reinsurance broker and subsidiary of Marsh &McLennan Companies.
Mr. Spiller, 49, will assume his new position on Jan. 1, 2006. Aspokeswoman said the position has been vacant for a number ofyears.
"[Mr. Spiller] is a well-respected leader in our industry andwill be a welcome addition to Guy Carpenter's senior managementteam," said Sal Zaffino, chairman and CEO of Guy Carpenter.
