This year, the Texas Legislature will decide whether credithistory should be used to underwrite insurance policies, but theissue goes much further than that.

Ultimately, Texas lawmakers will determine iffiscally-responsible consumers who drive safely, maintain theirhomes and avoid risk should pay higher insurance premiums to coverthe losses of those consumers who live more recklessly.
