The Progressive Corporation, Mayfield Village, Ohio, said July net income dropped 14 percent compared to July of last year.
The company earned net profits of $143.9 million in July of this year compared to 168 million in the same month last year.
Progressive said combined ratio rose 4.3 points to 86.9 this year compared to 82.6 in July of last year.
