Two Northern California agencies have announced the formation of a new insurance agency cluster that will provide a new outlet for independent agents seeking additional markets for their customers.
Los Gatos, Calif.-based INB Insurance Services Corporation and Garland-Sturges & Quirk Insurance Services Inc., based in San Jose, Calif., said the operation is called INB-GSQ Insurance Services Inc.
The aim of INB-GSQ is to provide insurance services locally, nationally and internationally by sharing markets, marketing efforts and expertise.
"Sharing markets and best practices will make our agencies more profitable and more effective in assisting our clients in the community," said Chuck Andrist, president for INB-GSQ, in a statement.
"This alliance will benefit our clients and our agencies, which is a win-win situation for everyone," added Tom Quick, vice president for INB-GSQ. "It will also enable us to write more new business and increase our overall profitability."
INB was founded in 1988 and offers a wide range of insurance services, specializing in commercial insurance coverage but also offering other services including group health programs, life, personal automobile and homeowners insurance.
Garland-Sturges & Quirk began operations in 1955, offering insurance services locally, nationally and internationally.
