NU Online News Service, May 18, 3:52 p.m. EDT–Former child star Tatum O’Neal is being sued by her insurer over a fire at her New York apartment which the carrier claims was caused by the actress’s “carelessness.”

According to the New York County’s Manhattan Supreme Court records office, Ms. O’Neal’s insurance company, Merrimack Mutual Fire Insurance, filed an action Monday against the former child actress who appeared in the movies “Paper Moon” and “The Bad News Bears.”
