Peter Hearn Named CEO Of Willis Re U.S

NU Online News Service, Feb. 3, 4:12 p.m. EST? Peter C. Hearn was named chief executive officer of Willis Re U.S., replacing George Reeth, who has been named president of Willis North America, the brokerage announced.[@@]

Mr. Hearn will report to Grahame Millwater, chairman and chief executive of Willis Re globally.

Joe Plumeri, chairman and CEO of Willis, said with Mr. Reeth in charge, the firm's U.S. reinsurance business has enjoyed significant growth in the past five years.

He said Mr. Hearn "has the skills and expertise to develop our organization further and continue the successful development of new business relationships and opportunities."

Mr. Hearn joined Willis as a senior vice president in 1994 to establish and manage the Philadelphia office and served in several positions before being named president of Willis Re U.S. in 2002.
