New Commissioner Takes Reins In Utah
NU Online News Service, Jan. 7, 2:59 p.m.EST?D. Kent Michie, an investment banker, has taken overas Utah insurance commissioner, replacing Merwin Stewart, whoseterm ended Dec. 31, 2004.[@@]
Mr. Michie, a Salt Lake resident, was a vice president of publicfinance with Zions Bank and has served as an advisor on bond issuesfor the state. As a banker he was involved in public financing andconsulted on the underwriting of bonds for public infrastructureprojects throughout the state. He is a licensed securitiesagent.
