ACT Founder Joins PIA

Mr. Jenkins was named vice president of business development and marketing.
He joins the Alexandria, Va.-based PIA after working as executive director of the Applied Systems Client Network.
"When your goal is to reach the top, you need to recruit the top people to help you get there," said Leonard Brevik, PIA executive vice president and chief executive officer. "I have known Bill Jenkins for over two decades, and I know that he is tops in what he does. I am particularly pleased that he has decided to join the national staff of PIA."
Mr. Jenkins resigned as executive director of ASCnet to accept the position with PIA, the association said.
ASCnet represents over 110,000 insurance agents and brokers who are users of Applied Systems Software.
From 1985 to 1993, Mr. Jenkins was director of advertising and a vice president of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America, based in Alexandria, Va. There, he helped create ACT, where he served as its director for two years.
"I'm extremely pleased to be a part of the fastest growing agents association in America," Mr. Jenkins said. "To all of my friends in the industry, I have one message: If you're looking for new opportunities, you can find them at PIA. The action is over here now."
